An English Speaking Club: Positive Short Films is an extraordinary event called to fulfill one's thirst for communication, memorable emotions, and English practice. It is a pleasant combination of storytelling, cinema club, and wine-savoring.

How it looks? Guests come to the gallery, take a glass of wine and sit down at the tables opposite the big screen. After a short getting known each other, short positive movies are shown – 4-5 films with communication between each of them. The audience is invited to discuss, to analyze and criticize the masterpieces as well as to share their own experience or emotions. The audience can recall and retell stories from their own lives that are related to the plots in the films so that the movie will intersect with our real background. Comments and stories by each participant of the conversation are limited to 5 minutes so that everyone can share their thoughts and feelings.

Positive films can also be called as "soulful", "with a deep meaning", "inspiring", "anti-depressant films". These are stories that affirm an optimistic philosophy and positive thinking. Sometimes these films can be sad, but they are always inspiring, thought-provoking and leave a pleasant "aftertaste" in the audience for a long time.

The meetings are filling up by a good wine that opens up the participants and facilitates their communication. Meetings of our unique Speaking Club take place every Wednesday, surrounded by paintings of the Modi Gallery. The moderator is a charming English teacher - Mariana Arkhipova.

Participation fee – prepaid 300 UAH (includes 200 UAH deposit - what is the amount for which you can fully drink wine and snacks according to the reasonable prices in the establishment).
